As most know already, I recently got married to Josh on Sept. 25th. Josh and I decided early on that we were going to go the "natural" way and not use any birth control. I think in our minds we both figured that it would most likely take a while for us to get pregnant. Well, here we are just over two months of being married and I'm 99% sure I'm pregnant! Silly us for thinking it wouldn't happen right away. I have felt sick at random times during the day but didn't think much of it... then I noticed a little weight gain around the belly region. It was then that I was really hoping I was pregnant and not just packing on the pounds for no reason, haha.
Sooo, about two days ago I decided what the heck, what's the harm of doing a test. We bought the test Sunday night but I was always told that the time to take a test is first thing in the morning... it's most accurate at that time, I suppose. So I went to bed, but of course, I was tossing and turning all night thinking about taking this dang test. Finally at about 4am I gave in and took it. Much to my surprise it said "pregnant" in big bold letters! I went back to bed and couldn't go back to sleep. It took all the will inside of me to not wake Josh up right then to tell him. He would not have been a happy camper to be woken up at 4am. A few hours later it was time to get up and get my day started. Since the test came in a two pack I figured I would take another test to be sure the first one wasn't a dud. Sure enough, the second one came back "pregnant" too!
I have a doctors appointment tomorrow (Wed) at 3pm. I'm super excited yet super scared at the same time. I'm terrified of something going wrong. My biggest fear is 1) dreaming this whole thing up and really not being pregnant or 2) losing the baby. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and saying extra prayers that I am indeed pregnant and we will have a beautiful healthy baby!
I figured I would start this blog to keep people updated that I don't get to see on a daily basis. I am not broadcasting this blog to the world until further down the line though, so before you people actually read this there will hopefully be more posts =) Happy reading, people. Hopefully there's much more to tell in the months ahead!
